The University of Southern Mississippi has appointed Dr. Chris Crenshaw to serve as director of its Physical Plant, beginning Sept. 1. Crenshaw is currently director of the university’s Department of Residence Life, a position he has held the past five years.


A convincing sales pitch from her stepfather helped freshman Hilary Stanfield make the decision to attend The University of Southern Mississippi.

“He kept talking about how great it was here and how much fun he had as a student,” said Stanfield, a Columbia, Mo., native. “So I decided to come check it out, and I would have to agree that this is the place for me.”


Swine may not be so divine to the winner of a pig kissing contest at The University of Southern Mississippi, but the cause is worthy.
