It’s no fisherman’s tale that the University of Southern Mississippi’s Bass Fishing Team succeeded in one nail-biter of a competition last month at Lake Guntersville, Ala., its last chance to advance to regional competition in collegiate fishing.


The University of Southern Mississippi Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) will hold a workshop on fair housing and homeownership on Tuesday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Cameron Recreation Center located at 711 North 10th Ave. in Laurel, Miss.


Dr. Tom Estes has been named interim vice president for finance and administration at The University of Southern Mississippi, Interim President Dr. Aubrey Lucas announced today. Estes previously served as vice president for business and finance from 1976 to 1992.
