The University of Southern Mississippi has fortified its long-term relationship with The Boeing Company by signing a new master agreement to serve as the technology incubator of next generation composite material systems.


To found a new festival in the Music Capital of Colombia [Ibague] is not an easy task, not to mention the difficulties involved in bringing guest artists from all over Latin America to Ibague, but this did not stop Jesus Castro from making Ibague Music Festival (IMF) a reality.


The University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) has named Pam Moeller the new Director of External Relations.



Approximately 41 undergraduate students from across the State of Mississippi participated in biomedical research training earlier this month at The University of Southern Mississippi as a part of an Idea Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) grant funded by the National Institutes of Health.

A student from The University of Southern Mississippi will be awarded a scholarship by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Research & Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.


The University of Southern Mississippi has named Dr. Steve Miller its new vice president for the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach, Miss., pending approval by the Board of Trustees of the State Institutions of Higher Learning.


Miller has served for the past 12 months as interim vice president for the Gulf Park campus. During that time, the campus has seen tremendous growth with several projects completed under Miller’s leadership including: three new Gulf Park facilities – a health center, a fitness center and a building to house the School of Social Work.
