The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Meeting Room at the Metrocenter Mall at 3645 Highway 80 West in Jackson.

It has been one year since The University of Southern Mississippi took steps to meet the growing needs of its online students with the establishment of a new Office of Online Learning. Since then, the University has been named to many “best-of” lists for bringing academic excellence to online students.

Seven hydrography experts with ties to The University of Southern Mississippi will convene next month in Paris, France to begin the process of revising the Standards for Hydrographic Surveys (S-44) – an instructional guide that has not been updated since 2008.

The de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection at The University of Southern Mississippi is currently exhibiting works by contemporary artists/illustrators Melissa Sweet and Wendell Minor. The exhibit, Gems from de Grummond: The Works of Wendell Minor and Melissa Sweet, will be available through March 2018 in the de Grummond Exhibit Room in Cook Library.
