The Southern Chorale, Concert Choir, Southern Miss Men’s Choir, Women’s Chorus, and Hattiesburg Choral Union will participate in the annual Bread Basket Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, Nov. 18. The service will be held at 6 p.m. at Parkway Heights United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg.

The Business Advisory Council and the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi has selected Joy Lightsey as the 2018 Boardman Alumna of the Year. She will be honored during the annual Alumna of the Year Luncheon set for Friday, Nov. 16 at the Trent Lott National Center on the Hattiesburg campus.

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Interior Design program‘s senior class will host its second annual Designer Showhouse open house celebration Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5 - 9 p.m. at 146 Wild Meadows in the Hattiesburg area’s Canebrake community. Live music will begin at 7 p.m.  Light hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be available, and tickets may be purchased in advance from Eventbrite, or at the door with a bank card.

Dr. Lilian Hill, professor in the School of Education at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), was inducted into the International Adult and Continuing Education (IACE) Hall of Fame Nov. 10 during a ceremony held in New Orleans. Dr. Hill is one of 13 individuals selected for the IACE Hall of Fame Class of 2018, which consists of 13 scholars and practitioners from the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, and France.
