The Live Oak Writing Project at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will host Camp Live Oak June 24 – 28 at the university’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. Designed for students entering third through sixth grades, Camp Live Oak will provide a fun environment where young writers will explore a variety of writing, art and music projects, as well as have fun learning about the 1950s.
Camp Live Oak, held from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day, will offer campers a variety of challenging and creative activities involving the writing process and beyond. The cost of camp is $175 and includes activities fee for materials, a t-shirt and anthology. Registration is limited to 20 campers and a non-refundable deposit of $85 is required.
