The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Educational Studies and Research will host an information session Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. for persons interested in its master’s program in counseling and personnel services. The meeting will be in Owings-McQuagge Hall, room 111.
This graduate program, which can be completed in one year, prepares students for entry or mid-level career opportunities in student affairs at colleges and universities. Program highlights include:
· Understanding how theory can be applied in a real-world student affairs context
· Examination of current issues in higher education and student affairs
· Gaining real-world experiences via practicum sites across campus
