Nolan D’Angelo of Gulfport, Miss. recently received a second lieutenant commission into the U.S. Army after completing the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at The University of Southern Mississippi. ROTC helps train college students to become an officer in a branch of the U.S. military.
D’Angelo graduated from Southern Miss with honors with a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies, and will serve with the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps at Schoffield Barracks in Hawaii.
He is the son of Tommy and Kathy D’Angelo of Gulfport and Cynthia D’Angelo of Statesboro, Ga.
