Drivers Ed Registration at Southern Miss Means Summer Not Far Behind

Summer means hot temperatures, snow cones and the annual high school Drivers Education classes offered by the School of Human Performance and Recreationat The University of Southern Mississippi.

Drivers Education classes are offered from June 4 - 24, 2011 with sessions available in either the morning or afternoon. In order to take part, students must be at least 14 years old and entering the 9th grade in the fall to attend classes.

Students successfully completing the classes earn one-half credit toward high school graduation. Most insurance companies offer a premium discount if driver’s education classes are successfully completed.

The cost is $275, payable in advance. Registration forms are available by calling 266-5358 or may be found online at www.usm.edu/hpr.
