Jerry Motley of Prattville, Ala. recently received a second lieutenant commission into the U.S. Army after completing the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at The University of Southern Mississippi. ROTC helps train college students to become an officer in a branch of the U.S. military.
Motley graduated from Southern Miss with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, and will serve with the 647th Transportation Corps and in reserve duty with the U.S. Army Reserve. He is the son of Jerry and Joy Motley.
