New Orleans Student Makes Choreographic Debut at Southern Miss

Main Content

Vendetta Tardy of New Orleans, La., made a choreographic debut at the Repertory Dance Company’s Spring Dance Concert at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Tardy, a junior dance major, is the daughter of Walter Tardy of New Orleans, La., and Vendetta Lockley of New Orleans, La.

In “Multiples of Many,” Tardy dived into multiple personalities. Inspired by conversations with family and friends, and bolstered by research on Dissociative Identity Disorder, this quartet featured gothic music with high-risk throws and partnering.

A combination of faculty and student dance work was featured in the Spring Dance Concert. The concert was presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance and featured eight modern dance premieres.
