Office of Leadership and Student Involvement Recognizes Outstanding Organizations and Leaders at Awards Ceremony

The Office of Leadership and Student Involvement at The University of Southern Mississippi recently recognized and celebrated the accomplishments of its 217 student organizations at the Student Organization Awards and Recognition (SOAR) ceremony April 17. Nominations were collected and a review committee determined the winners.

The following awards were presented for the 2017-2018 school year:

*Outstanding New Student Organization: Sexual Assault Student Educators and Advisors

*Emerging Leader Award: Kendra Lee, Eagle Connection

*Community Builder: Zachary Agee, Southern Miss Activities Council

*Outstanding Student Organization Advisor: Austin McDonald, Eagle Connection

*Outstanding Student Organization Member: Natalie Hosch, Honors College Leadership Council

*Outstanding Student Organization Officer: Taylor Baker, Lambda Sigma Honor Society

*Outstanding Student Organization President: Ronetta Mack, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society

*Outstanding Student Organization of the Year: Clinical Psychology Graduate Student Organization

*Leadership and Student Involvement Hall of Fame Inductee: Katie Kitchens, Event and Conference Services
