Schwalbach, Hessen, Student Recognized at Southern Miss Graduate Symposium

Domagoj Anic of Schwalbach, Hessen, Germany, was recently recognized at the 2011 Graduate Student Research Symposium at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Anic, a business administration master’s student, is the son of Zvonimir Anic and Ljilijana Radak Anic. He is a member of the men’s tennis team and the Business Student Advisory Council.

Anic’s work, “Natural Disaster Impacts on Eastern Oyster Landings in Louisiana and Mississippi from 2004 to 2009”, was selected by the Graduate Senate and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies as the top paper in his department. Winners receive recognition and a monetary award.

The symposium took place on March 18, 2011 and provided graduate students an opportunity to present their research to faculty, staff, students and members of the broader university community. This symposium is designed to enhance the scholarly environment for graduate students and to highlight the quality, innovative, and diverse scholarship of Southern Miss graduate students.
