More than 700 students dropped by to ask questions and gather information during The University of Southern Mississippi Career Fair held recently in the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg Campus.

There were nearly 100 employers in attendance ready to hire Southern Miss students and alumni. These employers came from Lake Tahoe to the East Coast and in between. They were hiring for part-time jobs, internships and full-time professional positions.  There were also several graduate schools present from across the southeast.

Many employers conducted on-the-spot interviews and others scheduled interviews for the weeks following. Numerous contingent job offers were made to students as well.

Tonya McGee, Career Services Marketing Specialist said, “We had numerous employers tell us how the Southern Miss career fair is their favorite. They love our campus, our students, and the work ethic we have here. You just can’t help but say, ‘To The Top!’’
