Nearly 700 students came to the Southern Miss Career Fair last week in the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg Campus.

There were nearly 100 employers in attendance ready to hire Southern Miss students and alumni.  These employers came from Lake Tahoe to the East Coast and in between. They were hiring for part-time jobs, internships and full-time professional positions.  There were also several graduate schools present from across the southeast.

Many employers conducted on-the-spot interviews and others scheduled interviews for the weeks following. Numerous contingent job offers were made to students as well.

Tonya Williams, Career Services Marketing Specialist said, “Employers we spoke with said they were very pleased with our students. They said the students came dressed well, had copies of their résumé on résumé paper and had clearly researched the employers prior to the Career Fair. You just can’t help but say, ‘To The Top!’’
