The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Civic Chorale will perform its annual tradition of rousing audiences with two holiday concerts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The chorale will feature “Magnificat” and the “Song of Mary,” along with traditional holiday favorites.
The first performance is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fleming Education Center auditorium at the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus in Long Beach, Miss. The encore performance is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Biloxi, Miss.
The holiday concerts are free and open to the public. Celebrating its 18th year at Southern Miss, the chorale serves as a community outreach program welcoming members of all ages throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Over 80 members sing in the ensemble, which is led by John Flanery, assistant choral director at Southern Miss.
