Southern Miss Gulf Park Celebrates Diversity and Civility Week March 27-31

In a conscious effort to “see the world from a different angle,” students, faculty and staff at The University of Southern Mississippi will celebrate Diversity and Civility Week, March 27-31, on the University’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.

Sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, Diversity and Civility Week is a weeklong event highlighting the diverse community that makes up the Southern Miss campus and the University’s mission of creating a caring and civil community for all.  

The list of scheduled programming for the week includes:

Monday, March 27

Multi-cultural Organization Fair

1:30-3:30 p.m., Fleming Education Center Rotunda

Tuesday, March 28

Gaucho Rodeo

Pre-party, 10:30 a.m.; Event 11 a.m.-noon

Lunch and Learn: Multicultural Panel Discussion

12:15 p.m., Fleming Education Center Room 104

Transgender Town Hall

6-8 p.m., Fleming Education Center Room 104

Wednesday, March 29

Around the World (Jeopardy-style game)

9-11 a.m., Fleming Education Center Rotunda

Thursday, March 30
