The University of Southern Mississippi is hoping to gain valuable input regarding mid-and-long-range needs from campus constituents and members of the Hattiesburg community during a pair of open forums scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30.
The sessions will be held from 3-5 p.m. in room 218 of the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg campus. The presentations will be shown twice during those times and will include updates to the Master Campus Facility Plan and University space planning.
An open forum will be held following each presentation, and feedback obtained will be used to make recommendations to the president and executive cabinet.
“We have a number of campus committees that have been working diligently on many of the University’s needs going forward,” said Southern Miss Associate Provost Cynthia Easterling. “We want to make sure that everybody has an opportunity to offer input into this crucial planning process. Whether it be expansion of academic programs, construction of new buildings, or allocation of existing space, we want to hear from members of the campus community and the Greater Hattiesburg community.”
