Student Government Officers Elected at Southern Miss Hattiesburg Campus

Executive officers for the Student Government Association at The University of Southern Mississippi were chosen during an election held on the Hattiesburg campus Feb. 18.

An inauguration ceremony for the new officers will be held Thursday, March 27 at 3 p.m. in Bennett Auditorium during the university’s Founders’ Day activities.

The new officers include the following:

*President - Jeffrey George, a sophomore political science major from Covington, La.
 *Vice President - Kyle Stoner, a junior accounting major from Gulfport, Miss.
*Treasurer - Benjamin Brewer, a junior accounting major from Brandon, Miss.
*Election Commissioner – Meredith Barefield, a senior chemistry/biochemistry major from Columbus, Miss.  
*Attorney General - Wilton Jackson, a junior mass communication and journalism major from Hattiesburg.
