Undergraduate and graduate students at The University of Southern Mississippi are invited to present their research at its 6th annual Student Research Colloquium, set for April 26. The deadline for submission of a research presentation proposal is April 9 at 11 p.m.
The colloquium, which employs a poster presentation format, is open to undergraduate or graduate students in any discipline, including those engaged in thesis or dissertation projects. Individual and small group projects are eligible as long as all participants are students and the projects have a faculty sponsor.
Students must electronically submit a project abstract or description of no more than 250 words clearly describing the original research or creative project. The format of this description is at the discretion of the student, but should be appropriate for the discipline represented. It is expected that, if accepted, the project will be complete at the time of the presentation.
For the poster presentation format, project authors can present their papers or work by incorporating key excerpts onto 32” by 40” mat boards that are displayed on easels (easels are provided, but project authors must supply their own mat board). Poster template will be supplied upon request.
