The University of Southern Mississippi’s College of Business has made “dressing for success” a little easier for recent graduates with the presentation of new business suits.

A total of 24 students received business suits upon completion of their degree requirements for the May 2018 commencement ceremonies. To be eligible for a suit, the graduates were required to fill out an application and maintain a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average.

Funds for the suits were provided through generous donations from University alumni and friends. Both male and female graduates were recipients of the business suits.

“People remember what it was like to be working one or two jobs, paying tuition and then trying to prepare to begin a career,” said Dr. Faye Gilbert, dean of the USM College of Business. “It is difficult to find the funds to begin to develop the appropriate wardrobe and our wonderful alumni gave back this year tremendously. For these 23 students, they will approach the first interview with the right foot forward.”
