Jennifer S. Lewis, compliance coordinator at The University of Southern Mississippi, participated in a panel entitled “The Risks of Non Compliance” Oct. 14 at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) 2016 annual conference held in Minneapolis, Minn. in collaboration with Sharyl Thompson, CEO of Higher Education Regulatory (HER) Consulting, Jeannie Yockey-Fine, State Regulatory Services Advisor, Cooley, LLP and Terrence Scarborough, Director of SARA-NC.

Lewis shared her unique perspective as a former student in terms of what students look at when evaluating a program, the consequences of entering a program that was not approved by the professional licensing board, and how to obtain the level of long-term institutional buy-in necessary for long-term compliance in an evolving compliance landscape.
