USM Guest Artist Series Presents Doug Lindsey on Sept. 11

Dr. Douglas Lindsey

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Music presents the first of many Guest Artist Series events on Tuesday, Sept. 11. This free recital will feature trumpet player Dr. Douglas Lindsey at 7:30 p.m. in Marsh Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus.

Lindsey is regularly in demand throughout the United States, having been a featured artist with the Memphis Symphony, the International Trumpet Guild conference, and the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast. He has performed as principal trumpet in the Memphis Symphony and the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.

In addition, Lindsey enjoys an active chamber music career as first trumpet with the Premiere Brass, as founding member of the Atlanta Trumpet League, and as a member of the Isthmus Brass. Lindsey currently is a faculty member at Kennesaw State University.
