Women’s and Gender Studies Program to Sponsor “Business of Birth” Panel

The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will host the panel discussion, “The Business of Birth: Discussion around Medicalized Childbirth in Mississippi,” Tuesday, March 26, from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in room 102 of the Fleming Education Center on the University’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.

The discussion will feature Southern Miss faculty members, Dr. Amy Chasteen Miller, associate professor of sociology, and Dr. Karen Saucier Lundy, professor emeritus in the College of Health. The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and the College of Arts and Letters at Southern Miss Gulf Coast. Light refreshments will be served.
