The recent retirement announcement from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy has created a wave of speculation and debate about whom President Trump will appoint to take Kennedy’s spot on the high court. Angela Burton, Director of Legal Studies at USM, is available to discuss the impact of Kennedy’s retirement. Today, her best availability is by phone or via e-mail to answer media questions. Southern Miss Alumni Association Hosts 20th Annual Gulf Coast Beach Bash as Part of Summer Party Series

The Southern Miss Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Department of Athletics has announced the date for the 20th Annual Gulf Coast Beach Bash. All Southern Miss fans are invited to visit with Southern Miss coaches, athletes, cheerleaders and Seymour on Thursday, July 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Biloxi Civic Center.


TRIAD AmeriCorps Recognizes Members of the Month for 2018

Over the past several months, Training, Resources and Information for the Advancement of Disability (TRIAD) members have been responsible for giving as well as receiving nutrition trainings for high school students and other community members in the Hattiesburg and Gulf Coast areas through use of the HealthMatters curriculum.

Photo and/or Video Opportunities
The Southern Saxophone Workshop is being held this week on the USM Hattiesburg campus for students of all ages. Resident artists will offer private instruction along with leading multiple discussions on a variety of topics. Topics will include practicing, intonation, career opportunities in music, and approaching the beginning saxophonist. In addition, all participants will have the opportunity to perform in chamber ensembles, saxophone orchestra, and recitals. To arrange for coverage, contact David Tisdale or Van Arnold.
