Online Bachelor's Degree in Library Science Ranked No. 2 in the Nation

The University of Southern Mississippi’s online bachelor's degree in library science has garnered being ranked No. 2 in the nation by Best Colleges. Best Colleges uses statistical data to objectively assess programs based on academic outcomes, affordability, and the breadth and depth of online learning opportunities.

The fully online program was recognized for academic quality, including high praise for the program’s retention and graduation rates as well as affordability.

June 1 marked the official start to hurricane season and all eyes will be on the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico throughout the coming months. Tommy Patterson, a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Geology is available today to discuss the possibility of a major storm affecting our area this season. The 70th Annual Girls State convention continues on USM’s Hattiesburg campus. The popular leadership program is held each year for young women entering their senior year in high school.
